Sadly, this is the end of an Era as Pirates Lodge - Amsterdamhoek now has new owners and her future incarnation as holiday home, Guesthouse or self-catering Flats is unknown.
The last four years have been magical at times and complete mayhem at others. I've met mostly wonderful guests and the minority were commanded to take a long walk from a short plank! To my darling Chester, Lily, Shaun, Isis, Tessa, Alice , Nr 2, Mutant, and Beastie our hearts shall forever be ever entwined and our adventures legendary.
To the leader of the pack Alexander: Boss you stole many hearts and were photographed more times than a super- model 🤩and bed-hopped more times that I care to remember!. Our babies Noodle, Tayla, Moira-Rose and Nugget as well as DA Boss and their willing slave are now adjusting to their teeny lodgings with some difficulty.
Mr B - the hero of the tale my BFF went above and beyond the bounds of friendship and attended to all manner of disasters from "my bedroom has burst into flames" to "two ceilings collapsed" to..."is there too much lemon in the hollandaise sauce?"
Lastly Lola-Bunny - you astounded yourself by going against your very Introverted Nature and Walking The Walk....Welcoming Strangers with love and warmth, Entertaining Like an Extroverted Rockstar (not forgetting for 1second your Undercover "River-Witch" Duties)and Providing Productions and Meals that earned you 28 Michelin Stars!!!!! Well- Done Bunny!!!
