Kudu mating season brings an incredible energy to the park, and it's not every day you get to witness a moment like this in the wild.

One more reason why Addo Elephant National Park is such a fantastic day trip while staying in Gqeberha. Every visit offers something different, and nature always seems to have a surprise waiting around the corner.

Take the scenic route along Marine Drive. 🌊

One of our favourite ways to spend a few hours in Gqeberha is a leisurely drive along Marine Drive, stopping at the Sacramento Trail to stretch your legs and enjoy some of the city's most beautiful coastal views.

Afterwards, settle in for a relaxed meal at Sacramento Restaurant and soak up the peaceful surroundings.

Just a short drive from Treetops Guesthouse, it's the perfect way to experience a quieter side of Port Elizabeth while enjoying the fresh sea air and beautiful Eastern Cape coastline. ✨

Step back in time at the South End Museum. 🏛️

We recently took a trip down to this fascinating museum on the Gqeberha beachfront, a place that tells the important story of South End and the vibrant community that once called it home.

The museum shares the history of one of Port Elizabeth's most diverse neighbourhoods and honours the memories of the thousands of residents who were forcibly removed during the apartheid era.

🐘 Another day in Addo.

One of the many reasons guests love staying in Gqeberha is having one of South Africa's most incredible safari experiences right on their doorstep.

Just under an hour from Treetops, Addo Elephant National Park makes for the perfect day trip. Spend the day spotting elephants, zebras, buffalo, antelope and a wide variety of birdlife before returning to the comfort of Treetops to relax for the evening.

For many of our international guests, it's often one of the highlights of their South African adventure. 🌿
