Fish eagles wake you in the morning, to clear views out across the river and into the Umtentweni Conservancy. The serene quiet invites travelers and fisherfolk to enjoy the peace of nature not even five minutes from the hustle and bustle of Port Shepstone, the economic hub of the area. Shopping centres, hospitals, banks and government administration offices are all close by. But it's the fishing a
nd tranquility that will keep you coming back. Most of our clients are return customers. The fishing on the river is first class game fishing with lures - the right time and spot will get you a prize catch of garrick, rock salmon, grunter, kob, perch - maybe even an oxe-eye tarpon or a zambezi shark, both have been caught before, on lures! Deep sea fishing is limited due to sea and surf conditions but when possible, you can hitch a ride on The Niteshift, a purpose built gamefisher for the gamefish and billfish in the area. We have many options however, including taking a boat out at Shelley Beach, just down the coast.
