For years, we’ve sung those words with pride. Today, the rest of campus has recognised what we have always believed.

Veritas has officially been named Best Men’s Residence, and awarded the “Trots Rots”, recognising Veritas as the residence with the most pride.

But these awards are about more than titles. They are about the men in this photograph.

This is what happens when 260 individuals stand together, proud of where we come from and even prouder of where we are going.

To every Tasser and Alumni… this belongs to you. ❤️

Estiaan Vorster. Primarius of Veritas. Prim of the Year.

Today, we celebrate a leader who has left an undeniable mark on the place we call home. ❤️

Out of the 29 Primarii across campus, Estiaan was awarded Prim of the Year for exceptional leadership, dedication and the impact he has made throughout his term. He was also honoured with The Wise One, awarded to the Primarius recognised for providing exceptional guidance and advice through difficult situations. 🏆

From the beginning, Estiaan had a vision for Veritas. A vision of what this place could become, what our brotherhood could stand for and what every Tasser could be a part of. He didn’t simply speak about that vision, he turned it into reality and then took it further than we could have imagined. 🦅

His leadership has been more than titles and awards. It has been found in the difficult decisions, the late nights, the conversations, the advice, the example he set an, above all, the unwavering belief he had in Veritas and its people.

Estiaan, Veritas is immensely proud of you. These awards may carry your name, but the legacy you leave behind belongs to every Tasser who had the privilege of walking alongside you. ❤️

𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐢-𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐠𝐬: 𝐑𝐮𝐧 𝟒 𝐑𝐀𝐆 🏃‍♂️🏆

What a day for the Tassers! 🔥

We took part in the Run 4 RAG Challenge, running 12 hours continously to raise funds for our CSE project through sponsorships per kilometre. And what a result… we WON! 🏆

Veritas ran the furthest of all the residences, covering an incredible 201.15 km! 💪🏃‍♂️ To make it even sweeter, Veritas and our sleepies, NWU-Kasteel , secured 3rd place overall! 🥉❤️

A massive thank you to every Tasser who put in the kilometres, supported the challenge and helped us make a difference. This one is for the community! 🤝

As the term of this year’s student leaders comes to an end, we had the privilege of gathering with students from various campus structures to celebrate the achievements and impact made throughout the year. 🤝🏆

It was a night of reflection, appreciation and celebrating the people who dedicated their time to making campus a better place. We are especially proud of our Primarius, who had the privilege of addressing the evening on behalf of the residences. 🦅

What a term it has been! ❤️

Throughout the year, our CSE Project at Mpeng Mahale in Ikageng gave our Tassers the opportunity to spend time with and support the children in the community. From activities and learning to simply sharing a few laughs, we enjoyed every moment we spent with the little ones. 🤝

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their lives, even in small ways. Thank you to everyone who gave their time, energy and heart to make this project a success. 🦅❤️

After battling it out on the court, our badminton team proudly secured 2nd place overall! A massive congratulations to every player for their hard work, determination and commitment throughout the tournament. 💪
