The Striped Elephant is a Charming guest house that offers self-catering accommodation as well. It is located in a central area with easy access to all main highways in Gauteng, both the N1 and R21 with only a mere 30 minutes’ drive to OR Tambo airport. The Striped Elephant is unique in its offering as it caters for business clients who are merely visiting Gauteng on a quick business trip, or for those who wish to explore the rich history of our country. We are situated about 15 minutes drive from various monuments in Pretoria as well as the Union Buildings, yet safely and quietly hidden away from the city rush. Our unique charm welcomes everyone and your comfort is our priority. Should you wish to bring your best friend or pet children along on the trip, we can avail the garden and ensure they too are welcomed during your stay.

Rooms:

Each Room has an ensuite bathroom and a queen size bed with soft linen cleaned daily. The bathrooms have either a shower or a bath/shower combination with clean towels provided for daily or as required. Each room has a smart TV with access to Netflix, YouTube and other News Channels, with free WiFi, as well as a smart desk to utilize for work purposes. Each room is also equipped with its own bar fridge and coffee and tea facilities.

Dining Area:

Should you wish to stay longer or prefer self-catering, you will have free access to a communal kitchen and dining room area. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery as well as cooking utensils. There is a stove and oven available as well as a barbeque area for a more local experience. The Dining area is also fully equipped with a coffee bar stocked with filter coffee, flavoured water and cereals available free of charge daily. This coffee bar also has all the latest news available with the delivery of all major daily newspapers.

The Patio:

Should you wish to drink a sundowner or just relax after a long day, you are welcome to relax on our patio, loungers provided, facing the calm and tranquil garden. The loungers are comfortable and a pleasant place to rest while reading a book.
