From delicate poached prawns to herb-crusted Karoo lamb and warm dark chocolate fondant, savour a thoughtfully composed menu with wines selected to complement each chapter of the evening.

Ataraxia Sauvignon Blanc 2026

FIRST COURSE

Ataraxia Chardonnay 2023 (Limited Release)
Paired with charred cauliflower, whipped amasi, smoked almond crumb, golden raisins, verjuice dressing and pickled mustard seeds.

SECOND COURSE

Ataraxia Chardonnay 2024
Paired with grilled asparagus wrapped in Parma ham, served with goat's cheese, hollandaise and fresh watercress.

PALATE CLEANSER

Lemon and mint granita.

MAIN COURSE

Ataraxia Pinot Noir 2024 & Ataraxia Pinot Noir 2016
Paired with pork fillet with apple and sage purée, caramelised shallots, potato gratin and cider reduction.

Ataraxia Serenity 2021
Paired with slow-braised oxtail in a red wine and thyme jus, served with creamy Parmesan potato purée.

The Ataraxia Wine Estate sits on a particularly heavenly stretch of land beneath a lofty peak of the Babylon’s Tower mountain range.

In addition to its unrelenting beauty, Ataraxia is home to some of the most spectacular terroirs South Africa has to offer.

In 2004, The Skyfields Farm was envisioned into the Ataraxia wine label when husband and wife, Kevin and Hanli Grant and a few friends purchased this 47-hectare prime vineyard property.

Now, two decades on, we are associated with crafting wines of incredible finesse, balance and depth; wines that proudly hold their own on the international wine stage.
