We offer an en-suite Garden Room and a self-catering Cottage

Our en-suite room for two is tastefully decorated and has a comfortable king-size bed or 2 singles; fresh, white linen and a large, homely bathroom with walk-in shower ensure comfort. Towels are provided, please bring your own toiletries. The kitchenette is equipped with a toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. There’s a bar fridge with milk, coffee, tea, sugar and delicious home-made date balls. Situated off the main road, in a peaceful area with beautiful mountain views and sunrises. Enjoy lovely walks, an abundance of trees for shade and the Karoo garden with birds and bees and a spacious braai area. There is secure, off-street parking. Restaurants and a supermarket are within walking distance and there’s lots to do in Prince Albert.

R 400 per person per day sharing R 450 per day single Pensioners 65 years and older R 300 per person per day sharing and R350 per day single.

Our Self-catering Cottage complements our Garden Suite!

Relax in open-plan living in our spacious, light-filled cottage. There’s a King-sized bed or two singles and a comfortable lounge area. The kitchenette offers a dining bar and is equipped with table-top electric oven, large fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, pans, crockery and cutlery. You’ll find milk, coffee, tea, sugar and Brita’s delicious home-made date balls to welcome you.

The en-suite bathroom has a shower. All towels and bed linen are supplied.

There’s a wall heater and hot water bottles to warm the Karoo winter nights and a sheltered, private courtyard to catch the sun. It’s just the place to enjoy morning coffee. Eat your meals inside or out and in summer you can cool off at the outdoor shower and enjoy the shade of the palm-leafed veranda.

With furniture and furnishings made by Mark and other local crafters, the cottage is ideal for a couple - or a family with two children who’d be happy to sleep on mattresses.

Prince Albert is known for its peace. Our cottage is situated on a quiet side street with trees and birds and indigenous plants to add to the calm. There’s a yoga studio just across the road, restaurants and a supermarket are within walking distance and there’s lots to do in Prince Albert.

The Karoo Scense Cottage lends itself to longer stays: a writer’s or artist’s retreat perhaps… chat to us about rates for stays of a week or longer.

Our rates for the cottage are the same as for our Garden Suite:

Children R150 per day - we have two single mattresses to pop down on the lounge floor at night.
