ART EXHIBITION - The Indigenous Art Exhibition / Inheemse Kunsuitstalling takes place from 23 to 24 August 2024 in the Riversdale Civic Centre.

This event is in celebration of the indigenous wonders and includes the teen art prize-giving from 18h00 on Friday, 23 August 2024.

This marvellous event is hosted by the partners Hessequa Art Route, Gouritz Cluster Biosphere Reserve and Hessequa Municipality

Hessequa Tourism invites the local community, visitors and art lovers residing in the neighboring towns to attend this local art exhibition.

WHALE MIGRATION: ONE OF HESSEQUA'S 7 NATURAL MARVELS - Witsand is known as The Whale Nursery of South Africa.

The Southern Right Whales migrate to the Witsand coastline to breed, feed and care for their young and play in the shallow waters, with this annual Whale Migration takes place from June to November.

Witsand offers excellent land-based Whale Watching from various locations, making it one of the best small towns to view the gentle giants within season.
