The Dog Star Manor is a luxury self catering guesthouse situated on Silverthorn Farm overlooking the Breede River, between Robertson and Bonnievale.

Sometimes the loveliest part of welcoming guests is hearing what they take home with them.

The peaceful surroundings, the little personal touches and the simple pleasure of having time to slow down.

We loved receiving these words from Pumeza:

“John’s place was honestly such a gem. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, exactly what we needed to slow down and just breathe a bit. The space itself is clean, spacious, and really comfortable.

What stood out for me were the thoughtful personal touches, the treats in the fridge and the choccies for the kids were such a lovely surprise and made us feel really welcome.

John was also very friendly and easy to communicate with, which just made the whole experience even smoother.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.”
