Journey Of Hope
On Monday night Paul Kruger 63 Self-catering Cottages had the honour of hosting Marius Swanepoel from the Journey Of Hope and his bicycle and trailer. He has walked around the coastline of South Africa on foot and is now cycling back to the south coast of KwaZulu Natal collecting funds for single mothers and their children. An amazing man on an amazing journey. He is collecting funds through BackaBuddy. Please go and support him.
Paul Kruger 63 Self-catering Cottages and Randrivier Guesthouse look forward to accommodating you on your next visit to Robertson.

Sip And Savor Weekend Festival
We at Paul Kruger 63 Self-catering cottages and Randrivier Guesthouse would like to congratulate all that were involved with this terrific weekend. We had nearly 30 guests who were here for the festival and they all had nothing but good comments and compliments for everything from the venue and its staff to the food and of course the wine that flowed endlessly.
We must thank Riaan and Bram for all their hard work and of course everyone else who put so much effort into this great event. The whole town and most of its businesses benefitted and we look forward to the next one.

Happy Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day has been celebrated since the early 20th century. It appears to have been created by a well-known activist Anna Jarvis in order to honour her mother’s activism. However, she soon became disappointed in the rapid commercialisation of the day.
BUT do not allow this to stop you from honouring and treating and even spoiling your mother on this day. In the end you would not be here if it was not for your Mum.
We at Randrivier Guest House and Paul Kruger 63 Self-catering Cottages try and spoil all of our guests and look forward to hosting you and your Mum in our comfortable and affordable establishments. For more information, please contact us on [email protected] or visit our websites www.randrivier.co.za or www.paulkruger63.co.za. You are also welcome to give us a call on 0823575846.
If you want to spoil yourself, pop into Koffie@Reitz for great light meals including breakfasts and some of the best pancakes in town.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there and we hope that you get spoiled rotten. Stay warm

World Earth Day
Today, the 22nd of April 2026 is World Earth Day. The theme this year is “Our Power, Our Planet”
This indicates a move to a more community driven philosophy. We need everyone to consider the ramifications of their actions and how they influence the world around them. If someone throws a single piece of rubbish on the ground rather than putting it in a bin, well then, the next person will look down and think why should I bother to dispose of this in an appropriate manner, when there is already rubbish on the floor. One more piece is not going to make a big difference. A child might see this action and come to see this as normal behaviour. Everyone has a superpower and that is to dispose of unwanted items in an appropriate manner. Little actions grow into bigger ones, and this can lead to a conscious move keep the planet free of litter and pollutants.
Please come and enjoy the beauty of our valley. Paul Kruger 63 Self-Catering Cottage and Randrivier Guesthouse look forward to hosting you in our comfortable and affordable accommodation in Robertson. Would you like some ice in your drink?
15 April 1912 is exactly one hundred and fourteen years ago and yet the sinking of the Titanic remains one of the worse maritime disasters in memory. The ship left port with over 2200 people on board but only about 700 made it to port. Shortly before midnight the ship struck an iceberg and sunk two hours and forty minutes later.
Fortunately, we do not get many icebergs in Robertson, so it is perfectly safe to visit our beautiful town where the ice goes in your glass instead.
We at Randrivier Guesthouse and Paul Kruger 63 Self-catering Cottages look forward to hosting in our comfortable and affordable establishments where you should remain safe from any icebergs.

Fall is falling
In meteorological terms Autumn began on the first of March and astronomically speaking on either 20 or 21 March and with this comes some relief from the hottest part of the year. I have wondered where the term fall comes from. It comes from old English and actually meant the fall of the leaves, so it is quite simple. But I like to believe it also means the fall of the temperature. The pleasant crisp mornings and warm days are some of the best times of the year here in Robertson. Which means that it is time for a visit to our valley.
We at Paul Kruger 63 self-catering Cottages and Randrivier Guesthouse look forward to hosting you in our comfortable and affordable establishments, so that you can fall into autumn with us.
