New Sabie Backpackers
In the heart of the picturesque Sabie Valley on the Drakensberg escarpment adrenalin junkies, fly-fishers or just those in need of a break-away now have an affordable, clean and central option to discover the abundance the Lowveld has on offer.
The New Sabie Backpackers is under new management where guests literally have anything from hiking, mountain-biking, kloofing or simply chilling in the quaint little town’s multitude of eateries on their doorstep.
Situated a mere 360km from Johannesburg and 64km west of the Kruger National Park a weekend breather in a rustic, yet ultra comfortable self-service environment is now as easy as pack up the car and just go!
Sabie Backpackers is situated in the centre of town (185 Main Road, Sabie) and within walking distance from all amenities.
Whether you’re 8 or 80 you can take your pick of activities. The Backpackers has WiFi, a central kitchen, games or reading room, a swimming pool (next to the bar) and in winter a fire place to get cosy. Be it a weekend away with the family, a group of friends in need of adventure or just a comfortable overnight stop to the Kruger – the backpackers has it all.
Activities and accommodation:
Apart from accommodation, guests can arrange for a guide to go kloofing at R300 per person as well as caving at R200 per person.
Special rates apply for special groups.
Overnight prices are R150 per person and units with both double and bunker beds for a family are available. Guests have to prepare or provide for all their food, but fridges, a stove, a microwave and electric kettle are available.
