Wait for it... that sound is NOT a call. 😍

African Broadbills can’t really sing. So the male makes his display sound with his wings instead. A quick loop off his perch, wings snapping down at 16m/s, and those special primary feathers vibrate to make that iconic “Prrrrrup”.

Pure bush magic.

You know your day is starting off well when these special little guys are around the lodge 🤩
The Great white pelican.
An interesting fact about them is that they often work as a team !!! Groups of maybe 6 to 20 of them will form a big curve in shallow waters then use their huge pouches at the same time scooping up fish as they go.
