Take the R27 from Cape Town along the West Coast. Travel 6 kilometres past the Langebaan turn-off, take a left turn at the Saldanha turn-off. Drive past Saldanha Steel and the Saldanha Airport. Cross over the Vredenburg-Saldanha road and continue straight on to Jacobsbaai. Once in Jacobsbaai, turn first road left, carry on over two stop streets. Jacobsbaai is well situated for water sports enthusiasts. Nearby Saldanha Bay is a renowned windsurfing venue, as well as offering yachting from the harbour. The Langebaan Lagoon, in close proximity, is popular for water skiing, jet skiing and paragliding. Although Jacobsbaai doesn't have its own golf courses, travellers wishing to play a round can do so at three courses in about a 15km radius.
