A perfect fit for couples or small families, these suites accommodate up to two adults and one child under 16 sharing. AtholPlace Hotel also offers a bar and lounge area, breakfast and room service available. AtholPlace Villa is a 4-bedroom exclusive-use villa accommodating up to 8 guests and offering its own private garden and swimming pool, as well as indoor and outdoor dining spaces.

Some mornings are worth the early start.

Around an hour from Johannesburg, Bill Harrop’s “Original” Balloon Safaris offers sunrise flights above the Magalies River Valley, where farmland, river systems, bushveld, and mountains slowly emerge in the first light.
