Meet Lilly Leseli, our incredible General Manager at !
“I joined the Fluent team at the end of November 2024. When I first came in, I was appointed as Assistant General Manager for . A month later, I was moved to assist at which gave me the opportunity to step in and support where needed. Shortly after that, I was appointed as Acting General Manager, an incredibly rewarding experience that allowed me to grow, take on more responsibility, and prove myself.
Following that journey, I was then given the opportunity to step into the role of General Manager, which I currently hold, while also being entrusted to manage and support ongoing projects across the business.
My journey in hospitality began while I was studying towards my Hospitality Management qualification at Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
During that time, I had the opportunity to complete my in-service training at some of Cape Town’s well-known hotels, including The Westin Cape Town and The Table Bay Hotel, which gave me a strong foundation in the industry.
I officially started working in hospitality in 2018 as a receptionist at The Bay Hotel. From there, I continued to grow within the industry and later moved to The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, where I worked my way up through roles such as Guest Liaison, Duty Manager, and Guest Experience Manager before joining Fluent.
What I love most about this industry is the PEOPLE, the ability to create genuine connections and put a smile on the faces of both our Guests and our Partners. I enjoy interacting with people from all over the world and being part of their experiences and memories.
For me, it’s about the small things, the thoughtful gestures, meaningful conversations, and moments where you can truly turn someone’s day around! It’s also an industry that allows you to be creative, which makes the work even more fulfilling and rewarding!”
