The Magestic Kudu is seen daily from Mavalanga Lodge.

Kudu horns have spirals, which allow males to spar by interlocking horns. The males then proceed to shove and twist until one opponent is knocked off balance and thrown down.

A (not so little) visitor stopping by the lodge yesterday afternoon. We love seeing our guests videos and photos of sightings from the lodge! Please tag us in your posts or send them through via direct message. 🐘

This little video was taken last week from our Boma. This herd of buffalo have been visiting at least once a day (nearly every day) for the past few weeks... This particular evening the herd made their way right to the fence in front of the lodge and through the gully running beside us. The noises and the proximity were truly amazing. 🐃

Beautiful sighting sent through by our guests earlier this week. Taken from the bedroom balcony whilst enjoying a morning coffee! The sounds of the river flowing after the recent rains and birds chirping is so peaceful... 🐘
