Sondagskloof Chalets are situated in the beautiful Sandies Glen Valley, 20km from the quaint village of Stanford in the Overberg.

We get asked this a lot, so here’s the answer: yes, our cabins have Wi-Fi.

So if you must work, bring the laptop. Answer your emails with a view of the forest, take your calls to birdsong, and swap the office kitchen for a swim in the vlei at lunch. When you log off, the fire’s ready and the stars do the rest.

No traffic. No open-plan noise. Just peace, quiet and a good signal.

🍕 Franky Friday at Sondagskloof Farm 🍕

There are a few non-negotiables at Sondagskloof… the fire gets lit, the dough gets stretched, and by the end of the evening, everyone’s smiling with pizza in hand. ❤️

Franky Friday is all about perfect homemade/homegrown toppings and perfectly good company. Friends, local farmers and our guests gather around the wood-fired oven, stories get shared, and somehow there’s always room for “just one more slice.”

And then there’s Jonny. 🐶 Patiently supervising the entire operation (purely for quality control, of course), making sure no pizza leaves the oven without proper approval. Around here, everyone gets pizza.

Good food. Great people. That’s Franky Friday at Sondagskloof Farm. 🍕🔥🐾

There’s something so comforting about stepping out of the cabin with an empty basket and no real plan—just seeing what the veggie garden has to offer. 🌿 Today, it was beautiful fresh cauliflower, herbs, and everything needed for the simplest kind of comfort food. Back in the kitchen, it all came together as a creamy cauliflower soup, served with warm, fresh bread. Sometimes the best meals aren’t planned at all—they’re picked, cooked slowly, and enjoyed surrounded by the quiet of the forest. 🍲🍞✨ What will you make during your stay?

🌿🥕 Sunday lunch starts in the garden.

Grab a basket, wander through the veggie garden, and pick whatever inspires you. From leeks, cabbage and cauliflower to butternut, fresh herbs and seasonal surprises, there’s always something waiting to become the star of your next meal.

Back at your cabin in the forest, let your imagination run wild. Simmer a hearty soup on the gas hob, roast vegetables over the fire, or create a wholesome feast from ingredients picked just moments before.
