In and amongst our Clivia garden we spotted that we have an early bloomer this year! This Clivia has decided it wants to show off and get us ready for their regular blooming season coming up, which is between August and October.
This is however a wonderful thing, we have created ideal conditions for our Clivias as they are so happy they don’t need to wait another month to show us their beautiful flowers.

The Cape Aloe, scientifically named Aloe Ferox, is the most harvested wild indigenous plant in South Africa?
As we all know, Aloe is used for its medicinal properties that are found in their bitter sap.
“Ferox” is the Latin word for “Fierce” which describes the Cape Aloes spiky leaves.
