What a lovely review we received this morning. Thank you to all my wonderful staff for making our guests feel so welcome.

We stayed at Cape Agulhas Backpackers Hostel during our motorcycle trip through South Africa and had an excellent experience.

For us, who travel by motorcycle, it's essential to have a safe place to store our bikes, and here they were always well protected, which gave us a lot of peace of mind.

The hostel is very colorful, cozy, and full of personality. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service was spectacular, always friendly and willing to help.

The common areas are excellent, with a fully equipped kitchen for guests to use, good internet, a very comfortable living room with sofas, dining tables, a fireplace, and a pool table. It's a perfect space to relax after a day on the road.

The showers deserve a special mention. They are very well designed, with no water splashing everywhere, excellent pressure, and very hot water. They also provide towels, which is always a plus.

In April 2026, prices were very reasonable: around R250 per person in a dormitory, R550 for a room with a shared bathroom, and R600 for a room with a private bathroom.

It was a very pleasant stay and we felt truly welcome. I recommend it without hesitation to anyone visiting Agulhas, especially motorcycle travelers.

André’s Harem 🔥🌴

What started as just a normal little gathering spot slowly turned into something special.Night after night, André would stand by the fire doing what he loves most — cooking incredible food and bringing people together.

One day I promised him, “I’m going to build you a proper boma…”and that’s how André’s Harem was born. ✨

Now it’s a chilled space filled with firewood smoke, laughter, good music, amazing food, and people from all over the world becoming friends around the flames. 🍷🔥

It’s the kind of place where you arrive as a guest and leave feeling like family.

At Cape Agulhas Backpackers we believe the best memories are made around a fire, with good souls and full plates.
