“A beautiful boutique hotel. Large rooms, very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was superb, and so were the staff, Carel and Michelle. Going out of their way to make sure all needs are met. We also met the owner and she is just as amazing. Only mistake we made, was to stay for just one night. Swellendam is a lovely little town. Next time we will add an extra night.

We loved welcoming Georgia East, writer, cook, food stylist, photographer and author, to Schoone Oordt and The Conservatory.

Her time here was spent noticing the small details that make a place feel alive, working with light, food and atmosphere in a way that feels both thoughtful and unforced. There is a quiet ease to her creative process that sits so naturally within this space.

It was a true pleasure to have her capture and experience a part of what we do here, through her own distinctive lens.
