Where evenings are meant to end.

There’s something about a fire in the bushveld that brings everyone together.
As the sun disappears behind the trees and the air starts to cool, the boma at Letlapa P**a becomes the place to be. Pull up a chair, pour a glass of w**e, watch the flames and settle in for the kind of evening where nobody is checking the time.

A three-tiered pool built into the rocks, mountains stretching across the horizon and miles of bushveld in between.

There’s a reason this little bridge leads somewhere special.

From Letlapa P**a’s Main Lodge, follow it out to our rock lookout and you’ll be rewarded with an incredible 360-degree view across the surrounding bushveld.

It’s the spot that makes you stop halfway through a conversation because the view has stolen your attention. Mountains in the distance, bushveld stretching towards the horizon and, when the timing is right, golden light spilling across everything in sight.

Come up for the view. Stay for sunset. Take far too many photos.
And then put the phone away for a moment, because some views are even better when you simply stand there and take them in.

The Outdoor Shower Experience

There are showers… and then there are outdoor showers in the middle of the bushveld.

Warm water, fresh air, the sounds of birds in the trees and nothing above you but open sky. It turns something as ordinary as getting ready for the day into one of those little moments you end up remembering from your stay.

When you visit Letlapa P**a, you’re never quite sure who might cross your path.

From giraffes wandering across the bushveld and squirrels darting between the trees, to Southern Yellow-billed Hornbills making an appearance around the lodge — there’s always something to spot if you keep your eyes open.

Nyala Lodge sunsets just hit differently.

Perched on the hillside, Nyala gives you one of those views that makes it very difficult to head inside when the day starts coming to an end.

The sky changes colour, the bushveld below catches the last of the light, and suddenly everyone has found a reason to stay outside for just a little longer.
Grab a drink, settle in on the deck and watch the whole thing unfold.

Man, with views like these… it’s very easy to forget what you were supposed to be doing.
From Figtree Chalet at Letlapa P**a, the bushveld seems to stretch on forever.
Mountains in the distance, greenery in every direction and the kind of view that makes your morning coffee turn into a much longer sit than originally planned.

And really, who’s going to complain about that?

This is the kind of place where you open the doors in the morning and just stand there for a second, taking it all in.
