🌿 Walking with Heart in Tulbagh 🌿

Every year, we have the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Disa Walkers to Oakhurst Olives — and seeing them walk through our heart somehow made it feel especially fitting. 💚

These wonderful walkers aren’t simply out enjoying our beautiful Tulbagh countryside. Their annual walk has a much bigger purpose: raising funds for our local old age home and other NPO organisations within our community.

It is initiatives like this — ordinary people giving their time, energy and plenty of footsteps 👣 — that make such an extraordinary difference.

To the Disa Walkers, thank you for what you do, for the awareness you create and for continuing to support those who need it most. We are always so happy to have Oakhurst Olives included along the way.

🌿 You never quite know who you’ll meet at Oakhurst Olives … 🦉

Perched quietly amongst the branches, keeping a watchful eye over the farm.

One of the things we love most about farm life is sharing this beautiful space with the wildlife that calls Oakhurst Olives home too. Sometimes you just have to stop, look up… and appreciate the magic around you. 💚

Nature really does provide the best surprises. 🌿🦉

🤍 Something else is blossoming at Oakhurst…

It’s not only our olives getting ready for a new season. Our prune trees are bursting into blossom too. 🌸

Every year these beautiful old trees quietly produce a crop of prunes here on the farm — and, until now, much of that fruit has simply gone unused.

This year we’d love to change that.

We’re starting the conversation early and would love to connect with fresh produce buyers, farm stalls, retailers, chefs, preservers or producers who may be interested in locally grown prunes when our next crop is ready.

From blossom to fruit, we’ll be sharing their journey over the coming months. Perhaps this is the year our Oakhurst prunes find a new home. 💚

🌿 A little sign that spring is on its way…

The first tiny olive blossoms are starting to appear at Oakhurst Olives 🫒✨

They may be small, but these delicate little buds are the beginning of something rather special — the promise of a new season, a new crop and, eventually, the olives we’ll harvest next year.

There’s something wonderful about watching the seasons unfold on the farm. From blossom to fruit, from grove to table… it all starts right here. 💚
