Olive trees teach us a beautiful lesson about life. They weather the storms, stand strong through the seasons, and continue to grow and bear fruit.

And just like our olives, some of life’s most beautiful things take time, patience, and a little help from Mother Nature.

🏃‍♀️🌿🫒 What a day at Run the Cape!

Yesterday we were delighted to be part of the Run the Cape experience, hosting an Oakhurst Olives tasting at De Stilte in Boontjies Rivier, just outside Wolseley.

What a wonderful day! We loved meeting the runners and walkers, sharing a taste of Oakhurst and soaking up the fantastic atmosphere.

Events like these are such a wonderful opportunity to showcase our beautiful part of the Cape — the scenery, local flavours, warm hospitality and the incredible people who make it all so special.

A big thank you to the Run the Cape team for having Oakhurst Olives as part of the experience, and to everyone who stopped for a taste, a chat and a few laughs along the way.

We had a fabulous day and loved being part of it. 💚

Sometimes a guest leaves a review that makes you stop, smile and remember exactly why we love sharing our little piece of Oakhurst with others.

A beautiful 10/10 for The Boathouse @ Oakhurst Olives — from location, comfort and cleanliness to facilities, value and, most importantly, the experience.

Our guests came to celebrate a birthday, unwind beside the dam, braai, watch the sunset and simply escape for a while. Their only complaint?

They had to go home. 😂

Thank you, Cuan, for such incredibly kind words, and for mentioning Dewald too. It means so much to our family and our team when the little touches are noticed and appreciated.

This is what we want The Boathouse to be — peaceful, private, welcoming and a place where you arrive carrying the stresses of everyday life and leave feeling just a little lighter.

And yes… “all your troubles become bubbles” may just be our new favourite Boathouse saying. 🫧🌿
