The truth is, that's almost impossible to answer. Some overlook the Mngazi River as it winds towards the ocean, others wake to the sound of waves rolling onto the beach, and some are tucked into lush indigenous gardens where birds provide the morning soundtrack.

Wherever you stay, nature is never far away; open the curtains, and you'll find yourself looking at something worth slowing down for.

Think the Wild Coast is too far for a school holiday? Think again.

If you're travelling from Gauteng, Air Link Internet Services operates daily flights from OR Tambo to Mthatha, followed by a scenic 90-minute transfer to Umngazi. Capetonians can fly to East London and transfer to Umngazi.

If you prefer the road? Many of our guests make the drive from Johannesburg every year and tell us it's part of the adventure. 🤩

Whether you're flying or driving, one thing is certain: the reward at the end is worth every kilometre.
