Welcome to the newest member of the Little Fields homestead, George the Rooster! A couple of weeks ago, we lost one of our precious speckled hens to either a mongoose or a genet. It was a very sad day, especially for the younger members of our family, but when our dear neighbour heard the news she organized to safely give us one of her roosters by passing him across our boundary fence! We are happy to report that George the Rooster has settled in to his new home happily! 🐓🌿

Little Fields is uniquely positioned at the start of the Midlands Meander, a short drive to the quaint villages of Howick and Hilton, and close to the N2.

If you’re bringing a group of family or friends, you’ll find The Country House the ideal setting to put up your feet, with evening strolls, board games in front of the fire, and all the amenities of home at your fingertips.

Or if you’re looking for a quieter getaway with (or without) the kids, then The Little Loft Cottage is the perfect place to call home-base as you explore the KZN Midlands. For activities closer to home, we highly recommend picking flowers in The Greenery or roasting ‘smores around the fire-pit.
