Happy Women's Day. 🇿🇦

A lodge is not a building. It's whoever is at reception when you arrive at 9pm after a six-hour drive, and whoever is in the kitchen at 6:30 the next morning making your eggs the way you asked.

That's this team.

The reviews we're proudest of don't mention the rooms at all. They say things like "treated me like family" and "felt at home." You can't buy that, and you can't install it. It walks through the gate every morning and chooses to do the job properly.

Nobody books a lodge because of the generator. But everybody remembers the one where the lights went out and stayed out.

So, plainly, here's what's behind the gate:

⚡ Backup generator — load-shedding doesn't reach your room
💧 40,000L water tank — the taps work when the town's don't
🔒 Secure off-street parking, inside the property
👮 Night watchman on site, every night
🚪 Private entrance to every room

Women's Day falls on Sunday 9 August this year — which means Monday 10 August is a public holiday.

That's a three-day weekend. Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
