Some helpful tips for our holidaymakers visiting the South Coast:

1. If you can, drink bottled water, not tap water (a filter on the tap is also helpful)
2. Don't swim in any lagoons
3. Stay within the designated flaggeg swimming area
4. If the beach flags are crossed over each other before 6pm, bathing is banned - you can get more info from the lifeguards about why it's closed
5. If the beach flags are crossed over each other just before, or at 6pm, the lifeguards are knocking off for the day
6. Do not swim in the ocean if there aren't lifeguards on duty
7. If you get stuck in a rip in the ocean, do not panic. Float in the water until you reach calmer water.

Winter op die Suidkus

Oasis Holiday Resort is veel meer as net n “karavaanpark” hier het ons hartsmense, mense wat hou van saam dinge doen van plekke verken tot speletjies speel, braai, visvang, stap en saamkuier, elke dag ietsie om te doen.

Nuwe vriende maak, Sondag middag ete om n tafel met lekker kuierkos (iets wat ons gedink het bietjie ongewoon is in n kamp maar ai was dit n fees!!)

Die fantastiese gesig van miljoene sardientjies, asemrowende skouspel van die Dolfyne en walvisse. Pret om agter sardientjies aan te hardloop en op te skep met n skoenlapper netjie.

Nêrens gaan Jy n mooier sonsopkoms kry as hier in Uvongo (Suidkus)nie, die opwinding van bote en visser manne wat uitgaan see toe tot die voëls in die kamp wat daagliks hul mooiste liedjes vir ons sing, en Moenie die Apies weggooi nie hul sorg ook vir opwinding al maak hul ons vies of word jy gegooi met n aartappel🤣

Oppikus fees en Mardigras het by gedra tot BAIE pret.

Hier by Oasis weet ons iets wat julle nie weet nie 🤣🤣

Winter on the South Coast

Oasis Holiday Resort is much more than just a "caravan park" here we have people at heart, people who like to do things together from exploring places to playing games, barbecuing, fishing, walking and hanging out, something to do every day.

Making new friends, Sunday afternoon Lunch around a table with good food (something we thought was a bit unusual in a camp but oh it was a celebration!!)

The fantastic sight of millions of sardines, breathtaking spectacle of the Dolphins and whales. Fun to run after visions and scoop them up with a butterfly net.

Nowhere will you get a more beautiful sunrise than here in Uvongo (South Coast), the excitement of boats and fishermen going out to sea to the birds in the camp that sing their most beautiful songs to us daily, and Don't throw away the Monkeys that provide much excitement 😁😁

Oppikus festival and Mardigras added to a LOT of fun.

Ons is baie opgewonde om Oppikus 2024 se datums aan te kondig. Maak seker julle hou 5 & 6 Julie oop vir die grootste musiekfees op die suidkus. Meer inligtig sal binnekort gedeel word.

We are very excited to announce Oppikus 2024 dates. Make sure you keep 5 & 6 July open for the biggest music festival on the south coast. More information will be shared soon.
