Hacienda is a place we're truly proud of — and moments like these remind us exactly why! 🤎

This magnificent nyala decided to stop by around lunchtime, enjoying a refreshing drink at our fountain before taking a little stroll through the garden.

Meanwhile, a father and son were enjoying some quality time together over a delicious lunch on the terrace. 🍽️❤️

Because at Hacienda, it's all about great food, beautiful surroundings and precious moments shared with the people who matter most. 🌿

🇿🇦 A second chance for magnificent predators 🐅🌿

Our team and guests recently visited Jugomaro Predator Park, a sanctuary near Vaalwater with a remarkable story behind it. 🐾

Founded by the Fernandes family, the park provides a home for rescued, abandoned and orphaned predators, including lions, tigers and caracals.

What began with the story of a young tiger named Panjo has grown into a place dedicated to caring for these extraordinary animals. ❤️

Seeing these magnificent creatures up close was a memorable experience and an opportunity to learn more about the stories behind their rescue.

A special experience for our team and guests, discovering another fascinating place in the beautiful Waterberg region. 🇿🇦🌿

Our recent visit to Nyari Wilderness – Kwalata gave us some unforgettable moments, including these incredible encounters with rhinos. 🦏🤎

Located in the beautiful Waterberg region, this remarkable wilderness offers the opportunity to experience Africa's wildlife in its natural surroundings.

We're planning to organise safari trips to Kwalata for our Hacienda Destri guests who would love to discover even more of Africa's incredible wildlife.

Same species. Very different look. 🦌

The striking contrast between male and female nyala is hard to miss. Adult males develop their dark coat and impressive horns, while females keep their beautiful warm chestnut colouring and white stripes.

And this little nyala family happens to be right outside Hacienda. 🌿🇿🇦

Traffic, bush style 🐒

Our newly arrived guests didn’t have to wait long for their first wildlife encounter.

A drive through the reserve came with a little local traffic — a troop of baboons casually taking over the road. 🌿🇿🇦

No schedules. No staged moments. Just the bush doing what it does best.

🇿🇦 A little flash of blue in the bush 🦎💙

Easy to miss at first… until you spot that incredible blue head. 👀

Male Southern Tree Agamas are among the most colourful little residents of the bush, with striking shades of turquoise, blue and gold.

✨ Fun fact: Their colours become especially vivid during the breeding season, helping males attract females and signal to rivals.

Small, colourful and definitely worth a closer look. 🌿🦎
