Papa Ostrich on the road one day,
With twenty-three chicks who won’t obey.
One runs left, another right,
Three are missing — out of sight!
He flaps his wings, he puffs his chest,
“Stay close, my kids! I need a rest!”
But no one listens (big surprise),
They’re pecking bugs and chasing flies.
By noon he’s tired, by dusk he’s done,
Parenting’s no joke under the sun!
Still, he struts on — proud and slick —
