The Richtersveld Wilderness Camp is situated on the South African side of the Orange River just 20km’s from Vioolsdrift. Our tree-shaded campsites are perfect for those seeking a relaxing and tranquil riverine "getaway" self-catered camping experience on the banks of the Orange River.

Richtersveld Eco Trail 4x4 Adventure
Camping & Wild Camping.

7 days & nights exploring the Richtersveld Eco 4x4 Trail, including 3 nights in Richtersveld National Park.
3 nights Wild Camping.
Viewing of the Namaqua Flowers if in Bloom in Goegap Reserve & 13 Mountain passes.

Approximately 910km, 640km of gravel/off-road

Note: This tour may require road Building and clearing of overgrowth in some sections along the route.

Note: 4x4 vehicle required with 4x4 with Low Range, high clearance & Diff-lock.
Note: you will need to be a competent and experience 4x4’er for this tour.
Note: You can tow a 4x4 trailer/caravan, but there will be some deep sand and technical rocky sections that may be problematic. Also remember towing a trailer/caravan increases traveling time by 20 to 30%.

Note: The Tour is limited to 6 vehicles plus guide vehicle.
Note: If you do not have your own Licence'd VHF Radio with 4x4 ORRA frequencies, you will need to hire one, as this will be our means of communication during the tour.
