🐘 There's something that stops you in your tracks — a tiny elephant calf, barely shoulder-height to its family, navigating the world one careful step at a time.

Our camera trap caught this magical moment last week: a breeding herd moving through in the golden afternoon light, with this little one tucked safely between the adults. In the background, guests on a game drive watched in awed silence — that same feeling we get every single time we witness it.

Elephant calves stay close to their mothers and aunts for years, learning everything from them — what to eat, where to find water, how to navigate the landscape. The whole herd raises them. It truly takes a village. 🌿

This is why wild places matter. This is what we protect.
