I would like to thank all who have supported Strelitzia Guest House over the past 22 years.

Unfortunately due to ageing health I am no longer able to host guests or perform the maintenance jobs required. I am shutting down the guest house. Mens Health Clinic International will still continue as usual to offer services to their clients from this venue.

With the only assistance I get, from my informally adopted daughter and grandson who do housekeeping, gardening, and general maintenance work we will start to convert some of the guest rooms into rental rooms. If not for them I would have had to sell.

Here is hoping for a happy and peaceful retirement.

After three years of no rate increases despite all the cost of living increases we have had to increase our prices.

New rates effective immediately (From July 2024):
All rates are bed only (no meals served)
All rates are per night
Single R400.00
2 Persons Sharing R600.00
3 Persons Sharing R800.00
4 Persons Sharing R900.00

Lock-down Level 2. We are now open for all persons. No work permits required. Lets hope this is the start of a new beginning for us all.

Hi to all our followers.
Here is a bit of good news.
Lock-down level 3 as of 1st July 2020 we are allowed to open for business travelers only. You will need to supply us with proof that your booking is not for recreational purposes.
Here's hoping we can get back on our feet after 10 weeks of no income from bookings.
Looking forward to being of service to you.

To the 60+ people who have accepted Mariska's invitation to like this page, I thank you. This could hopefully spread the word about our existence and support us after lock-down.

For the 24th time since meeting Mariska over 13 years ago, I have taken her in at the guest house, giving her and her son a place to stay with water, electricity and all meals included. She also gets 5% commission on all bookings that she is involved with, which under lock-down now means R0. I am a pensioner who gets almost R800 per month pension, and am currently trying to support all 3 of us with this income.

Here's to a brighter future for us after lock-down.

Thanks for all the new LIKES on my page (17 in 1 week).

Unfortunately, like the rest of the country, and half the world, we are also in lock-down until further notice.

Mens Health Clinic International are still open through lock-down, and will be here on Wed 15 April 2020 and again Wed 29 April 2020 for all the gentlemen in need of assistance.

For the first time in 4 years the rates for persons sharing is being increased.
New rates effective 1 March 2020 are as follows:
1 Person, Bed Only Per Night, R350 (up 9.375%)
2 Persons Sharing, Bed Only Per night, R550 (up 10%)
3 Persons Sharing, Bed Only Per Night R750 (up 7.14%)
4 Persons Sharing, Bed Only Per Night R850 (up 6.25%)
