Epa Savivas (PTY) Ltd Waterval Boven is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist with the transition from manual accounting processes to a structured Sage 50cloud Pastel and Pastel Payroll environment. This is an outcome based temporary assignment for a Fixed Term Employment Contract of three months.
The assignment will include current and historical processing, bank reconciliations, creditors, debtors, payroll, general ledger work, control accounts, correcting supported historical discrepancies and helping establish reliable accounting processes.
The requirement is for someone who can do considerably more than data capture.
Minimum requirements: Relevant bookkeeping/accounting qualification (NQF 5 or equivalent preferred); 3–5 years' practical bookkeeping experience, preferably to trial balance; strong Sage 50 Pastel/Pastel Partner experience; payroll experience, preferably Pastel Payroll; good Excel skills; sound knowledge of bank, creditor, debtor and payroll reconciliations; and the ability to investigate historical discrepancies and work independently.
Experience in manufacturing, inventory/stock, consignment, hospitality or accounting-system transitions will be a strong advantage.
This is a hands-on temporary role based at Epa Savivas (PTY) Ltd during an important financial-system transition.
Candidates should ideally be asked to state their Sage Pastel experience, payroll experience, availability, expected rate/salary and whether they have previously completed historical accounting clean-ups or system transitions.
The shortlisted candidates will be required to do a 30–45-minute practical Pastel/bookkeeping test.
