We are very well situated, just 11 kilometres from the Durban CBD and our altitude of 250m above sea level ensures that Durban’s humidity is avoided. We are close to the major N2, N3, M13 and M19 highways which link Durban, Westville, Pinetown and the King Shaka Airport. Our accommodation consists of comfortably appointed “cottagey” units (most with kitchenettes), all with private entrances, off-r

oad parking and guest operated remote controlled electric gates. We offer the option of double/king size beds or twin beds on request. Breakfast is served on our lovely patio amongst the trees when the weather is fine (which is most of the time), or in the dining room. You have a choice of full English breakfast or a self- catering option. We provide healthy and wholesome meals with salads, vegetables and herbs being sourced (where possible) from our garden. Depending on availability, Claire’s homemade jams and preserves can be purchased. Within walking distance from Our Little Family B&B are a nature trail, the Westville Old Boys Club, Westville Country Club with all its sport/club facilities, Westville Metro Swimming pool (Olympic size), Westville Shopping Centres (housing restaurants, supermarkets, clothing stores, local pubs/bars and foreign exchange banks).The Palmiet and Paradise Valley Nature Reserves are a short 5 minute drive away where regular informal / formal walks can be arranged. We have considerable experience in catering for the needs of guests, be it co-ordinating bookings for large groups, recommending a good restaurant, providing advice on unique cultural events, booking of organised tours or the structuring of exclusive expeditions to the battlefields and magnificent wilderness areas conducted by experts in fields of history, wildlife and birding.

After many years wanting to get chooks for the garden, we finally bought 5 Hamburg chickens. It’s been a week and they seem to have settled down. Today we decided to open the run so they can venture into the garden. I was quite nervous – they aren’t interested in leaving their coop at this stage.
