As you meander down the driveway, you realize it’s a rare find indeed, and pat yourself on the back. In front of you appears an uninterrupted view of Cathkin Peak & Dragon's back and you feel humbled by your smallness in comparison. Dragon's back gets its name from the out

line of the peaks and escarpment that combine to resemble the profile of a sleeping giant. The original farm house has been lovingly restored over four years by landscaper Wayne, to give you a sense of complete one with nature. It takes you back to the colonial times in this uKhahlamba World Heritage site when animals roamed free and tribal people beat out their daily existence, and wars were an eventuality to claim pieces of this splendor. Reed buck and Duiker take their refuge in the surrounding indigenous garden in the whispering of the winds through the grass. As night tucks everything away, a million billion stars appear high above you winking sleep tight, you are safe.

Drakensberg Fibre Festival

The Drakensberg Fibre Festival, is a four-day national celebration of fibre arts, weaving, knitting, crochet and indigenous craft traditions. Set against the breath-taking backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountains, the festival unites artisans, designers, crafters, and learners from across KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, and the Eastern and Western Cape.

Let's see what happens ... but we feel the snow she is coming back!

❄ ADVANCE SNOW FORECAST UPDATE: Widespread low-level snowfall possible across Lesotho and SA – all SA provinces currently indicated including Gauteng and Mpumalanga. Johannesburg is definitely still on the radar for snow. Today's map indicates the possible snow depth as it is currently possibly indicated but this will almost certainly change. We have not seen a reduction overall since yesterday though.
