WITSAND - The Witsand Nature Reserve is one of the towns best kept secrets and covers five short walking trails with exceptional views of the Breede River. The nature reserve trails allow visitors to enjoy the natural beauty and fynbos diversity of this region.

The Grysbok Route is the longest trail covering a distance of with 1.1-kilometers. This trail is a loop, ideally suited for the visitor wanting to relax the mind and rejuvenating the soul.

Nick's Trail is a 0.7-kilometer trail, which links up with the Gysbok Trail. The Riviers Edge Route is a 0.5-kilometer trail with stunning views of the river and wildlife.

Walking in a nature reserve is a powerful way to improve your physical, emotional and mental health, allowing you to get into a good space. This nature reserve is an open access facility and visitors are reminded to stay on the marked trails.
