• There is no housekeeping/cleaning service during your stay. Hot-tub:
• The Hot-tub works very well, but only if you make a decent fire in the boiler under the chimney. For those that are not seasoned fire makers, fire needs two things to work, fuel and oxygen. To ensure there is enough oxygen entering the boiler, you must ensure that the draft chamber is open sufficiently. The draft chamber is the narrow opening on the opposite side of the boiler than the chimney. Please also ensure that the bottom of the draft chamber is not obstructed and open, to allow air to enter the boiler chamber at the bottom.
• Once the fire is burning well, you can regulate the fire intensity by moving the boiler lid to the side, to either allow more air or less air to enter the boiler chamber. More air, more intense fire, less air, less intense fire.
• If the hot tub is not heating the water after 3-4 hrs, there is nothing wrong, excepting that you are not making the fire correctly and need to ramp up the fire intensity. It will take about 6-10 bags of wood to heat the 3500Lt of water, which is the approx. equivalent of 17-23 household geysers.
• To start a fire in the boiler you will need firelighters. We also sell these at R25/packet
