Wind is a very clean, neat, and modern self-catering apartment on the ground floor of a two-storey house on top of a hill, with a private entrance, and offers a beautiful, unobstructed view of Dassen Island and the ocean. The property can accommodate up to 4 people in 2 double bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed, both rooms have a ceiling fan and their own full bathroom. The open plan kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with a fridge, double induction hob with extractor hood, air fryer, microwave oven, sandwich toaster, cordless kettle, cutlery, crockery, a wide range of kitchenware, and also has a ceiling fan. The spacious and comfortable living area has couches, tables, chairs, knee blankets, a 50 cm flat screen TV, full DStv, and a movie box with Netflix, ShowMax, Prime Video, and YouTube. Also, a variety of handheld games, and unlimited Wi-Fi are available. There is a supply of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, spices, ice, bottled water, briquettes, fire lighter, cleaning products, towels, hand soap, shampoo, shower gel, and toilet paper. The open veranda has 2 sunbeds, a patio umbrella, 2 folding chairs, and a picnic table. There is a briquette indoor braai (no wood allowed) and a Weber braai for outside use. The property has alternative power during load shedding, but it should be used judiciously and if the national load shedding schedule is not too severe. Secure parking for one car, possibly 2, is available in the yard behind a remote-controlled gate. The entire building features an alarm system with external sensors activated at night, as per the guests’ wishes. Additionally, the neighbourhood is patrolled by a response company and Neighbourhood Watch. As the building is located on a steep slope, there is a set of 17 steps down to the apartment entrance, and therefore, it is not suitable for wheelchairs, or persons with mobility impairments. There are handrails and automatic night lights for guests’ safety. Tweede Wind is not suitable for pets, and children between 1 and 10 years.
