CONGRATULATIONS Chilanga Town Council

GOOD NEWS FROM CHILANGA DISTRICT

I would like to congratulate the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development on positive strides to make information available on operations of councils available to citizens.My visit to the Chilanga Town Council website has left me shocked. The information that I have struggled to obtain from my council is now available in downloadable pdf format on the website.

Available information includes:
2023 procurement plans,
2023 approved budget,
Ordinary council meetings for selected quarters,
Various CDF application forms,
Various business-related application forms.

There are also provisions for council to share financial statements and audit reports.

The CDF tracker is also active and has lists of approved CDF skills bursaries. I expect the other information to be available soon.

Keep it up Greyson Sakala Council Secretary Chilanga, Hon Sipho Hlazo - Chilanga Constituency. Your Worship Champion Tembo, the district administrators and all your teams.

Let our district and constituency tick all the boxes on efficiency, transparency and accountability. This settles persistent complaints about transparency and accountability.
