Kapishya Hot Springs Lodge was originally set up in the early 1980's by Mark Harvey's parents. Mark now runs the company with his wife Mell. Kapishya Hot Springs is located in the Northern province of Zambia on the adjacent property to Shiwa Ngandu ("The Africa House") It is an area of outstanding beauty and wilderness that has been kept pristine over the years. The lodge has six chalets, boasts
its own natural hot springs, swimming pool and beautiful gardens. There are numerous activities available to guests such as hiking, kayaking, rafting, spa treatments, tea parties and pizza-making. We take pride in our eco-farm and food production methods, trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible and cultivating the land respectfully. About 80% of our food served on the table is grown here on site and sourced locally. Mark's wife Mell is an excellent chef and along with our cooks and team, the food is known to be some of the best available in Zambia. There are three options available to clients, full-board, half-board, self catering and camping. Buffalo Camp is open from June to October. It is located in the North Luangwa National Park and is one of the last unspoilt wildernesses in Africa. It is also the only Park in Zambia where you can view the big five. There are 6 chalets available at this camp. Buffalo camp is unique in that it is one of the only camps that allows children of all ages. Guests can enjoy both walking and jeep safaris. There are options available to cater for all needs. Mark and Mell also support the local community through numerous projects.
