In 1999 land was bought from a private seller and construction started with a building of three self-catering units. At present we have 9 rooms with 6 of them none self-catering. A dining room was also constructed that accommodates 20-30 people. We

now have a furnished conference hall that can take up to 150 people plus a braai facility. Nested in the suburb of Hillside and only less than 5 minutes’ drive from the city center, Emqameni lodge was designed for the business traveler and the tourist in mind. For the business traveler, it is quiet thereby offering an atmosphere to work in peace. For the tourist it is a retreat from the bustle and buzzy life of the city. Giving one the peaceful atmosphere to plan for your next adventure. Advice on local tourist attractions is freely available. We are located on the way to the scenic and picturesque Hillside dams. Within our vicinity are two private hospitals, two shopping centers, a bowling club, a rugby club, golf course and a post office. We pride ourselves in being amongst the few facilities that offer a wild atmosphere in an urban environment. Our theme has always been to maintain the wild atmosphere that existed before buildings started to take shape.
