Hunnington Retreat Center is a non-denominational Christian community, which offers a quality facility at affordable prices. We do not
offer other “deals” as our fees are relatively priced below the fees of other campsites. Directions
Hunnington Retreat Center is located on Hunnington farm approximately 17km out of Chinhoyi going towards Chegutu. From the robot in Chinhoyi at the corner of Farm and City, you turn to go towards Chegutu. Traveling towards Chegutu you will go beyond the turn for the Golden Kopje mine and continue towards Chegutu and beyond the power lines crossing the road and will come to Biri Primary School on your left hand side. About 100m from there, you will find the Clent road sign directing you to turn right. Carry on down Clent road to the entrance of Clent farm where you will find the signs to bring you into Hunnington Retreat Center. From the tar road, it is 6.1km to the camp. Bedding and Accommodation
HRC has beds for 80 people. They consists 40 beds in the ladies wing and 40 beds in the gents wing. Our dormitories do have mattresses on the bunk beds but campers will have to bring their own bedding. A meeting room separates these iron sheets roofed dormitories. There are 8 geyser fitted showers and 7 rest rooms in the ladies wing plus 8 geyser fitted showers, 5 rest rooms and a urinary cubicle in the gents’ wing. We also have Chalets where other people from your groups could stay and for now it’s all the same price, but we are looking into developing these to accommodate couples. Kitchen and Cooking
Hunnington Retreat Center offers the cooks and the kitchen with the utensils for an amount stated below. Groups must provide their own food. Firewood is provided. Sports and Recreation
There is a soccer field, basketball court, netball court, and 2 volleyball courts...Bring your own sporting equipment. We also have a unique attraction in the form of the “Lord’s Tower” or a Multi-purpose Tower which consist of the popular Giant Swing, Zip Line, Climbing Wall, and Jacob’s Ladder which everyone can enjoy at the flat fee for each individual. HRC requires a non-refundable booking and damage deposit equal to 50% of your total estimated camp fee to secure your booking. Once you have made your enquiry, we will reserve your dates as soon as you pay. If we have not received the deposit as soon as possible, the days can be given to the next group that brings their deposit first. Deposits are also applied towards your total camp fee on the day of arrival. Your group will be held liable for any damages to the facility during your stay. Upon arrival, payment for your camp is due. Alternatively, payments can be done through our booking office. Please don’t hesitate to contact our booking office. Our Fee/s structure:

Cooks hiring to cook your food $1/person that you have per day. Hiring cooking utensils excluding plates, cups and spoons $20/day. If upon arrival you cannot pay for each day booked, you may only stay at camp for the days paid for. Prices are subject to change without notice. Check out time is by 12:00hrs of the last day of your booking. (12:00 noon being the time when dorms must be emptied and cleaned so we can prepare for the next group to come. If your transport has not arrived, you will still need to clear the buildings at that time. Contact Details

RULES AND GUIDELINES
Rules are for the benefit and protection of not only the facility but for the individuals who use this facility which God has blessed us with. It is a great privilege and honor to host your church/organization. Please read these guidelines for conduct and make sure your group knows about them in advance of your stay at Hunnington Retreat Center. It is our desire as staff and directors that Jesus Christ is honored through our camp. We look forward to serving you and hope you enjoy your stay at Hunnington Retreat Center. Personal Guidelines:
The use of to***co and alcohol are strictly prohibited at camp and will not be tolerated. This also includes any form of illegal drugs. Anyone caught using alcohol, drugs, or to***co will have it confiscated, and at the camp managers, those individuals will be asked to leave. Boys and girls are expected to maintain the highest standards of moral conduct with one another while at camp. Boys are not to be in the girls’ dormitory at any time. The same goes for the girls as well. Any boy or girl found in an inappropriate setting with a person of the opposite s*x will be asked to leave. Individuals are asked not to bring the following items to camp and if they are brought, they will be confiscated and given back to them at the end of their stay. If they refuse to comply, they will be send home. These items are as follows: No radios or personal compact disk players. No inappropriate magazines or books. No inappropriate items of clothing (i.e. bikinis, see through clothing, clothing advertising alcohol or other related items, clothing promoting objectionable messages. All persons should respect the properties of others and should not bring valuables that they do not wish to lose. Hunnington Retreat Center will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items of individuals whilst they are at camp and anyone found with stolen property or disrespecting the property of another camper will be punished and/or sent home. Individuals should not play practical jokes on others that can inflict either emotional or physical damage on another person or persons. Practical jokes are not to cause any damage to the property of Hunnington Retreat Center. Disregard to this rule can result in punishment or being send home. The use of vulgar and offensive language will not be tolerated at camp. Anyone violating this guideline will be warned first and if the behavior continues will be asked to leave. Individuals are asked to help maintain the cleanliness of the site by refraining for littering and making sure that waste and litter is placed in the garbage bins provided by camp. Campers (especially younger ones) are asked to refrain from pulling thatch from the roof and anyone found doing so would be warned first and if it continues will be send home. Campers are asked to stay out of the landscaped areas so as not to cause harm to the vegetation and keep camp looking beautiful for everyone to enjoy. Campers are not to harass the wildlife found around the camp
Any person found willfully defacing or vandalizing camp property will be punished and dealt with accordingly.
