Oxygen W**d 🌱🎣

As the lake has risen significantly in the last 2 years - we have seen a comeback of naturally occurring Oxygen weeds in the bays.

Providing aeration, insulation and other nutrients into the lake that improve the breeding and growth of the common species; bass and bream. 🐟

As the water temperatures rise, the fish will be more active - making the fishing at Lake Kyle more prolific in August and September... 🎣🚤

As the weather warms up, our varieties of Aloes start to come out in blossom...

There are over 43 different species of Aloe found in Zimbabwe, of which over half can be seen in and around Lake Kyle, Great Zimbabwe and Masvingo 🌿🌵🌱

It's a beautiful sight, and worth exploring the area for... you never know what else you might find! 👀🗿🦏🕷🐦

This year so far we have seen the release of lockdowns, less restrictions, open travel and now...no more PCR tests to enter Zimbabwe! 🇿🇼👏

A 5 Member Delegation comprising of 3 from the United Nations Office for Project Services, 1 from the French Development Agency and 1 from French Foreign Affairs from Paris arrived in MASVINGO yesterday, Friday the 11 of March 2022 in pursuance of the planned tourism development for and around World Heritage Site.

This follows successful missions on the pre-feasibility and feasibility studies missions which can be back dated to 2019. The current visit is in preparation for the official signing and launch of the Great Zimbabwe Project on Tourism Development. It is expected that before the end of March a signing ceremony shall be held for this project meanwhile the launch is earmarked for May 2022.

Basically the project aims at enhancing the Great Zimbabwe World Heritage Site as a tourist destination as well as working with local communities in developing tourism related activities such as the cultural centres which are doted around the world heritage site. The project is expected to kickstart soon after the signing ceremony and expected to complete within 4 years and once successfully implemented, this should be a game changer to tourism in . Amongst other areas looked at were the possibilities of twinning the Great Zimbabwe Monuments with another monument in France as well as twinning the City of MASVINGO with the City or town with the monument in France as well as engaging the French embassy to assist in identifying actors who can be brand ambassadors for Masvingo.
