We have been incredibly privileged to spend time with the Chitembe Wild Dog Pack over the past 10 days. 🐾

After spending more than six weeks further inland, the pack has finally returned to the floodplains of Mana Pools.

One of our guests captured this extraordinary moment when one of the pack’s six pups was too frightened to cross the water with the others.

Watch until the very end to witness something truly special — a beautiful reminder of the incredible bonds within a wild dog pack and the extraordinary care they show for their young. ❤️

When you come on safari in Mana Pools, you’ll often spot these pretty little chaps quietly making their way around camp. 🐍

The spotted bush snake (Philothamnus semivariegatus) is one of the most commonly seen snakes in southern Africa — and one of the most misunderstood.

Completely non-venomous and harmless to people, these slender little snakes are actually rather shy and much more interested in disappearing into the foliage than in bothering you!

So next time you see one around camp, take a moment to admire this beautiful little resident.
