Meet Morgan, one of our wonderful learner guides here at Fothergill Island 🌿

Born and raised in Hurungwe, Morgan’s love for the bush began as a young boy guarding his family’s fields from duiker. What started as a simple chore quickly became a fascination — watching their clever feeding habits and lightning-fast zig-zag escapes sparked a deep passion for wildlife.

Years later, after returning home from school, Morgan was struck by how much had changed — many of the animals he once admired had disappeared. That moment ignited a purpose: to protect wildlife and help people and nature coexist.

While working as a tailor in Kariba, he continued studying and working towards his dream, eventually earning his guiding qualification and joining the Fothergill team.

From field guardian to wildlife guide — Morgan’s journey is driven by passion, purpose, and a deep respect for the bush.
