CULINARY QUARANTINE
It’s a gobal culinary quarantine
Yet no evidence of Covid 19 spread through food
Good news-no virus survival due to acidic of the stomach
Food as, the greatest weapon that unities soul, spirit, body
Religion, races, cultures and believes is now vanity of vanities
It is written, man shall not live by bread only, word fulfilled
No man to till the land, no food, no culinary tourism
Agriculture is dwindling, as farmers on isolation
Food manufactures are scarce, panic buying, empty shelves, no restocking
Hotels, restaurants, food outlets on lockdown
Kitchens turned to ghost places, no go areas
All stoves/ovens switched off, pans, pots and plates shelved
No more kitchen flambees, open-flames and smoky
Kitchen sounds of chefs, porters and waiters, a thing of past
Kitchen orchestra song-new order chefs
Noisy respond –yes chef, no chef, coming chef muted
Kitchen shouts, yelling, extract-fans sound dead
Although chefs/cooks are essential critical skillful taskforce
President said -stay home, stay safe, stay alert
Chefs now perfecting skills indoor home cooking for families
Chefs are now reading culinary books, meditating on recipes and art visualizing
Chefs are now re-doing, re-definition and re-interpretation of 2020 latest culinary trends
As we all know chefs are scientist, dietician, physicians who will combat, virus through food and drink
No more stirring and mixing ingredients with sweet smelling herbs
No more culinary perfumes that fills kitchen atmosphere
Spices has stopped the fragrances and aroma
No more culinary essence, tears from onion cuts
Mise-en-place, garnishes disappeared
Kitchen briefings and line-up shuttered
Sizzling grillers and steaming pots silenced
Social culinary distance is the order of gastronomy survival
It's now social culinary distance of eat, drink and be merry
Social culinary distance of starter, mains and dessert
Social culinary distance of food, music and wine
Social culinary distance of home, chefs and kitchens
Social culinary distance of passion, recipe and artistic
Social culinary distance of culinary experience, hunger and Wowed

World healthy food and safety regulations recommend chefs
To wear masks, gloves, wash hands regularly
Sanitation of hands and all working areas
Cooking food through above 65 degrees
The greatest hope, is totally call for culinary humbleness and repentance
When the gastronomy world is healed
The joy of passionate cooking, sharing and uniting of all culinarians and food bloggers is met
All quarantine visions treasures, are unfolded, will tell the story on a plate
And will understand it better bye and bye
