lean up after you so you can enjoy ultimate relaxation. The kitchen is fully equipped. The lodge offers all the comforts of home in a tranquil setting. Our fireplace will keep you warm while our electric blankets will take the dread of jumping into cold blankets away (electric blanket use only when there is electricity). We have books and games to play such as darts and cards among others. We have 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed and a separate bathroom and toilet directly outside. The second bedroom has twin beds and also has a separate bathroom and toilet directly outside. The third bedroom is an upstairs loft set up with 2 Indian day beds so it could be a lounge by day and a bedroom at night. There is a combined shower and toilet directly off that room. The last bedroom is detached from the main house but is literally 5 steps away. It has a queen sized bed and an ensuite bathroom. In addition to the stream and waterfall close to the property guests can hike and play volleyball on site. On those rainy days guests can play board games, cards, or darts. We have a home theatre system as well as an open view decoder. In the event of a power cut we have a 4 plate gas stove with oven, a charcoal braai (guests to bring their own charcoal) as well as an inverter system to power lights, entertainment and the fridge. A backup generator is also available. This will be used for a limited time only if the need arises. Extended generator use will come at an extra cost. We also have rechargeable LED lamps (one can't be too careful). Our water supply is not dependent on electricity and we have 2 wood fired boilers so you will be guaranteed a hot shower. The last 3kms of road to the lodge have patches of bad road. In the rainy season clients will need a vehicle with four wheel drive. Outside the rainy season guests will need a vehicle with high clearance. The cell phone reception at the lodge is spotty at best but our caretakers will be happy to show guests where to get decent reception. Guests will need to bring all their food and drinks as well as toiletries of a personal nature. Guests are encouraged to arrive before 6pm. While our caretaker is available to attend to client needs we ask clients not to keep them up too late. We charge USD180 per night for the entire lodge which sleeps an absolute maximum of 8 people. Please note this includes children over 2 years.
