We are grateful for the vision of our founder Mr Magumo Mahla and our inspiring neighbour Dr Previledge Garie Madhovi who are transforming a once-sleeping village into a modern country retreat while in the diaspora.

Hidden in this picture is one of nature's most remarkable gifts — a locust.
While many see locusts only as agricultural pests, they are also a highly nutritious traditional food enjoyed across many parts of Africa. Rich in protein, iron, zinc, and healthy fats, locusts have sustained communities for generations and are increasingly recognised as a sustainable food source for the future.
But their value goes beyond nutrition.
🌿 Locusts play an important role in the savanna ecosystem:
✅ Provide food for birds, reptiles, and small mammals
✅ Help recycle plant nutrients back into the soil
✅ Contribute to the natural food web that keeps ecosystems balanced
✅ Support biodiversity across grasslands and savanna habitats
Nature often hides its treasures in plain sight. What some call a pest, others recognise as food, livelihood, and an important piece of the ecological puzzle.
