Established in 1904, The Victoria Falls Hotel overlooks the magnificent Batoka Gorge with the Victoria Falls only a 10 minute walk away through the hotel’s path, 22km from Victoria Falls Airport. FACILITIES – This gracious Edwardian – style hotel is set in lush gardens, with three restaurants, a swimming pool, spa, hair salon, gym, mini golf (putt putt), in addition assortment of local art throughout the hotel grounds. The highlight is traditional High Tea on the terrace and dinner at Jungle Junction offering a view of the Victoria Falls Bridge and Batoka Gorge, displaying the spectacular African show at night. ACCOMMODATION - The 161 en-suite bedrooms and suites are fully air conditioned, with telephones, complimentary Wi-Fi and satellite television.

After a 10-day safari in Botswana and Zimbabwe, the final night spent at the Victoria Falls Hotel was the cherry on top of a perfect honeymoon!

The hotel itself has an old-world charm to it (vintage photos and posters tastefully lining its walls, dark woods and classic furniture, well-maintained courtyards, etc.) without feeling dated. We particularly enjoyed roaming the courtyard in the stable house where our room was located and soaking in the views of the gorges from the swing chairs hanging from old trees.

What really caught our attention at the Victoria Falls Hotel, though, was the phenomenal service. The staff did an excellent job anticipating and handling any of our needs, leading us to truly relax and enjoy the moment. We also had the best massages of our lives at their spa and wish we had access to their massages back in our home in Chicago!

It’s the kind of spread that makes you want to go back for seconds before the day has even properly begun.

From warthog families wandering through the greenery to an ever-changing cast of birds and other local wildlife, the grounds offer unexpected little encounters that make every stroll more memorable. It’s a wonderful reminder that even within the elegance of the hotel, the wild character of Victoria Falls is never far away.
