It's a story you can soon read about as part of our 30-year anniversary. Watch this space 😎

Way to go team Saf Lodge! The Econet Victoria Falls Marathon 2024 tested the mettle of our champs, who came away with sore limbs, happy hearts and not a little bit of pride! Out front for the lodge was Doubt Munkombwe, something of a Saf Lodge legend - he finished in a remarkable 45th place overall out of 2122 runners, clocking in at 01:24:04. Hot on Doubt’s heels was Emmanuel Ncube, who finished 46th overall in a time of 01:24:10.
And they're off!🏃💨💪 Wishing our Chairman Dave Glynn and the rest of the team the very best at the Victoria Falls Marathon 2024. Go team, gooooo. 🎉

Introducing one of Africa Albida Tourism’s more behind the scenes staff whose presence is very much felt front of house … digital manager Innocent Mtero. Inno, 32, spends his days online, marketing our accommodation, restaurant and spa offerings to the world. This tech savvy staffer manages our websites, booking engines and all things digital. Born in Gweru, his love for the hospitality industry dates to his school days, when for his ZIMSEC A’ Level computer science exam he developed a hotel booking system using Microsoft Visual Basic 6 programming language. “To develop this booking system, I had to make frequent trips to Redcliff Hotel to gather data, that’s when I fell in love with the industry.” He went on to study at Chinhoyi University of Technology, graduating with an Honours Degree in Tourism, before completing further courses in digital marketing and web design and development. The father-of-one’s first job was at Victoria Falls Tourlink as a sales consultant, and a year later he moved to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge as a night sales consultant, before being promoted to online sales consultant and then to his current role. He enjoys improving the websites’ performance by enhancing usability, increasing the conversion rate through crafting seamless and user-friendly experiences and experimenting with different technologies to improve efficiency and achieve better marketing outcomes. At home, Inno is a Formula 1 racing fanatic, but if it’s not a race weekend he can be found watching a documentary or out fishing.
