It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved family patriarch, John “Jack” Grattan Klein.

For more than 50 years, Jack has been a much-loved and familiar face at the Anglesea Hotel. Known for his warmth, quick wit and wonderfully dry sense of humour, Jack connected with generations of locals, staff, visitors, family and friends.

His dedication to the hotel and to the people around him has left a lasting impression and his presence will be deeply missed by so many.

Details of Jack’s funeral will be in the Geelong Advertiser on Saturday.

Following the service, we will meet at the Anglesea Hotel to raise a glass to a truly special man and his remarkable life.
